Portofino Island Resort's Fitness Center

Gaze out over the Santa Rosa Sound and beautiful pool deck through floor-to-ceiling windows as you power through your workout at Portofino’s Fitness Center. Conveniently located within the Portofino Lifestyle Center, the full-service gym and fitness facility provides workout options for everyone. You’ll find all new state-of-the-art cardio equipment with personal touch screen monitors so you can watch your favorite television show or hook up your iPod to access your own workout soundtrack or videos. The fitness center also features an extensive weight room area with a full circuit of Cybex equipment, free weights, fitness balls, bars and bands to help you meet your strength training goals.

In addition to the amazing facilities and equipment, Portofino offers a variety of fitness classes including pilates, yoga, spin, spinnervals and aqua aerobics with energetic and fun instructors.

Fitness Center Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 am - 8:00 pm

Shoes and shirt required. Must be 16 years of age or older to enter.

Portofino's Fitness Director

Jessica Mulligan Carn has been Portofino’s Fitness Director since 2005. A native of Brandon, Mississippi, Jessica grew up playing softball and basketball. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University and a Master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of West Florida.

In her spare time, Jessica trains to compete in marathons and triathlons. She has participated in the Pensacola Half Marathon, the Country Music Marathon, the Santa Rosa Island Triathlon and the Fort Lauderdale 13.1 Marathon.

Jessica teaches Zumba, boot camp, aqua aerobics, spinning, pilates, and yoga (+ paddle board yoga), as well as private swim lessons.
