Jessica Mulligan is the Fitness Director and has been an asset to the Portofino Island staff since March of 2005. She grew up in Brandon, Mississippi playing softball and basketball and went on to play college basketball at Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She moved to Tallahassee, Florida where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Exercise Science at The Florida State University. She continued her education at the University of West Florida where she obtained her Master’s of Exercise Science in May 2008 with an overall GPA of 3.91.
Jessica now spends her spare time training and competing in marathons and triathlons. She participated in the Pensacola half Marathon, the Country Music Marathon, the Santa Rosa Island Triathlon and the Fort Lauderdale 13.1 Marathon last year and started the year off with the Miami ING Marathon in January.
Jessica is the primary group fitness instructor here as well and can find her teaching beach boot camp, aqua aerobics, spinning, Pilates, yoga as well as private swim lessons.
On top of all her fitness contributions, Jessica took on the High Tide Kids Club program and has designed a fun filled summer program that will keep the kids entertained throughout the summer.
