Please be advised that the heavy surf from Hurricane Alex is washing tar balls up on the beach in front of Portofino Island Resort. We trust that they will be cleaned from the beach quickly as there are many BP contract cleaning crews that have rapidly cleaned up tar balls to date. Please use caution and avoid the tar balls when on the beach. Should you come into contact with the tar, we have provided wash stations on the beach, and throughout our resort. By taking these precautions we are protecting our guests, owners, staff, and facilities.
